Uzoho concedes five goals in Spain
Elcheâs Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho conceded five goals against Cadiz who completed a stunning 5-1 victory in Sundayâs Spanish Segunda league clash.
Interestingly, the Nigerian international, who had kept two clean sheets in the League prior to Sundayâs defeat, was beaten four times in the second half of the encounter.
The 20 â"year-old Uzoho conceded four goals in a 12-minute spell in the second half.
Sory Kaba had shot visitors Elche into the lead in the ninth minute but goals from Roberto Correa, Dejan Lekic, Jose Mari (penalty), Salva Sanchez, and Manuel Vallejo handed Uzohoâs team their fourth defeat of the season.
Elche are now 14th with 14 points from 12 games while Cadiz are 13th in the table but with a superior goal difference to Uzohoâs team.
Uzoho and his Elcheâs teammates will be looking to bounce back from the shambolic defeat when they host Las Palmas in their next league game on Saturday.
Uzoho, currently on a season loan deal from Deportivo de La Coruna, has been preferred in goal ahead of the veteran goalkeeper José Juan since he returned from international duty this month.
At the Nou Municipal de Cornella stadium, Ramon Azeez was an unused substitute for Lugo in their goalless draw away at Reus.
Azeez, has made five appearances in all competitions this season for Lugo.(Visited 356 times, 73 visits today)
